Furtron is one of the many aliases of UK producer Dael, analogue enthusiast and sole protagonist of the virtual label Strange Current.
Dael began his experiments at the age of 13 creating vast soundscapes with an adapted stereo cassette recorder, using slowed down and reversed vinyl and found sounds. Shortly after this initial start he began collecting synthesizers saving money from paper rounds and trading 12’’ singles with school friends. It was around this time that Patrick Cowley released his mammoth remix of Donna Summer’s “I feel love”. This 20 minute plus epic, with its repetitive bleeps and spaced out psychedelic Moog eruptions quite literally changed the young man’s life. Music was no longer about lyrics defining how he should feel; it was about the sound itself, infiltrating his thoughts - generating colours, shapes and emotions.Over the following years Dael has released music through Rawkus, Sentrax, Synfetisch, Tyke, Headjunk, and now happily through his unlimited Strange Current and KOHL virtual imprints....................................................
