Just back from showing our line at MBFW LA, we are in the mood for some celebration. Join us for our Post Fashion Week Wrap Up at the Red Fez, Austin, Texas on Tuesday, November 20th from 9pm-2am. Our newest project is to install solar electricity into our fair trade, fair wage women's sewing cooperative in Nicaragua. We are also proud to announce the full cestation of PVC in our clothing line with an adaquate replacement of fully traceable and organic natural latex purchased directly from the tribes that produce it. Designs will be released some time in 2007 (sorry, no date yet) and all of our current stock of PVC is on sale until it runs out. Faernyn's Grove was started in 1998 as a relief effort to unaffordable, illfitting, ready to wear exotic clothing. Our new mission is to do it sustainably and 'eco-wise'. We have two websites that offer our customers a wide array of unique and exotic designs. Our design studio and showroom are located in Austin, Tx at 509 West Elizabeth St, just behind SoCo off of South 1st. Our specialty corsetry includes the custom designed corset, bridal corset, waist training, steelboned corset, and the decorative, whaleboned corset (from plastic whales). http://mycorset.com carries couture corsets and clothing made from sustainable, organic, and traceable textiles including certified organic cotton and formaldehyde-free silk. http://faernynsgrove.com carries our gothic, fetish, and cyber-esque clothing. Currently the latter website carries PVC corsets and goth clothing that we have already discontinued and are selling out of (which means if you would like any of our fabulous reflective vinyl corsets or clear plastic corsets you'd better get them soon). In 2005 we went to Nicaragua and trained a fair trade, fair wage workers' owned cooperative to produce our sustainable designs and fully support their cause and triumph. Custom costuming is also available upon request. Costumes for stilts, firedancing, theater, and film is amongst our repetoire. We have been seen in publications such as Gothic Beauty, Skin Two, and Feedback Magazine.We have produced many fashion shows and events over the years.
