Norb, born in Malawi/Africa, actually living in Vienna, Austria, is a singer & songwriter basically playing guitar, sometimes playing bass and blues harp, too. Beside other electric band projects with the Subcandies , the Jaybirds and the Trance Norb also plays his songs solo and acoustically. On this site you can listen to only a few songs of his work. They were recorded with a 4-track multitracker. So probably the recordings are not something for sound purists, they are more like demos. Norb has already started the process of recording new songs for his first longplayer, but at the moment he is quite too buzy working with the other bands. Track 1,2 and 3 are rough demo examples of the forthcoming album. The Subcandies just have released their first longplayer (see the blog). Also the Jaybirds are planning to make a record this year, and both bands will be looking to play a lot of gigs in the next months. So only time will tell, if a solo-record release will come true in 2008. |
