| WELCOME TO THE SATIN DOLLS OFFICIAL PROFILE!! This site is under construction! ---Voted Band of the month, by BBCwm Radio, when they first exploded onto the midlands music scene in 2004. Three years on, the Dolls were voted number ONE unsigned FEMALE fronted band in the UK by fans and industry at the Emergenza Battle of the Bands Final in August of 2007... The Satin Dolls are a distinctive & full blooded (British) hard hitting Rock band from the Midlands with a live set that will leave music lovers crawling back for more and rival acts running for their ego surgeons.The music of the Dolls is packed with more than its fair share of barbed wire guitar riffs, stomping drum fills, dirty bass lines and soul driven power vocals.The four elements of the band have diverse musical tastes, from classic Soul legends and Rock n Roll heroes to hard Rock icons, Metal messiahs and Indie/ Pop genii.The sound of The Satin Dolls is forged by, the coming together of primarily, the soulful power Vocals of Julie Burrows and the lashing Guitars of Rob Wells.Although most of the songs are written with the melding of these two strong elements at the start, all the songs that are performed and recorded by the band do not get to their final hard hitting distinct Dolls feel without hours of jamming as a four piece at Pick ‘n’ Sticks rehearsal studio in the heart of Coventry cities red light district with Seth Harris-White on Drums and Adam Burrows on Bass.
