We meet on the 1st Thursday of each Month. Come out and Support your blues musicians and club owners who bring you the best music in the world. Join up today! visit www.batonrougeblues.org Paypal accepted. Our society strives to educate the general public about blues related music by performance, appreciation and knowledge. We love the music and we want to support the future of the blues. Along with other Louisiana music related societies, we participate in music education in the schools . Our volunteers are accomplished musicians who donate their time and knowledge to help children enjoy and maybe even consider a career in music. We hope to encourage teachers, administrators, parents and community leaders to keep the music alive for the next generation and to look at the blues music historically and socially.We strive to keep our public up to date on the blues happenings in and around Baton Rouge. We are dedicated to cultivating appreciation and respect for the blues as both an important development in musical history and as a viable art form, promoting and supporting local blues artists, encouraging continued awareness of blues music in younger generations, and providing opportunities for everyone to enjoy the blues! BLUES ON THE DIAL KBRH 1260 AM (M-T 6am-6pm R&B), (Fri 6am-6pm All Blues Friday), (Sat 6am-6pm R&B, Blues, Roots of RockandRoll, Jazz), (Sun 11am-6pm Blues, Zydeco, Soul, R&B) WBRH 90.3 FM ALL DAY SATURDAY Rhythm, Blues, Cajun (6am-8am Biscuit & Blues), (8am-12noon Rhythm Review w/Rob Payer), (12noon-1pm Mo'Good Stuff), (1pm-2pm Tabby's Blues Box w/Tabby Thomas), (2pm-3pm Blues Buffet, Hosted by KBRH Students), (3pm-4pm Louisiana Gumbo w/Pat McBride), (4pm-7pm Clarence's Cajun Show), (8pm-10pm Smooth Jazz) Radio Stations, WBRH & KBRH are both operated by Baton Rouge High School.
