The band was created at the beginning of 2003 by four crazy metalheads (Mel:vocals, Tom: guitar, Tod: bass, Gorgor: drums) coming from various bands who don't need to be introduced (Agressor, Imperial Sodomy, Devilium, Belëf...). Addicted can be defined as a vector of musical entropy, a generator of chaotic sounds. It's fuel ? A sulfurous mixture of ethylene and decibels, no more, no less. Performing a hybrid style (combinating the HxC raw energy with the thrash metal attitude and also including some old school hard rock elements), Addicted create a depraved musical storm but without forget festive atmospheres. Among the notable influences of the group, we can find Brutal Truth, Slayer, Motörhead or even EyeHateGod. First concretization of this will to desecrate ears until they bleed, the demo "1st Amount" pressed on a pro-CD and offering three intoxicating hymns, true anthems dedicated to generate chaos in the mosh pit. About the lyrics, you won't find here stories about magic swords, enchanted forests and asexual elves. Addicted gives us no more than a corrosive glance on our world through the depraving vapors of alcohol. Thanks to the addition of Ludo and JP (replacing Tom & Tod), the band took 2004 as an opportunity to multiply the live experiences and to widen it's audience. At the point to have become in one year only one of the band that cannot be ignored in the Southern metal mafia. Then Mordrir (Devilium, Imperial Sodomy, Belef) and Blaspho (Imperial Sodomy, Belef) joined ADDICTED replacing Ludo and JP. Blaspho, who toured with ADDICTED for close to two years, gave ADDICTED an amazing bass sound, and recorded with Mordrir what will be ADDICTED’s first album " Recipe for the sick ". With a now stable line-up , Blaspho being replaced by Pierrick (Phazm), Addicted is once again ready to hit the road to spread the good (?) word and release an album " Recipe for the sick " that should be out in September ! ! !
