| I live in the Florida Keys, one of the most beautiful places on earth. I'm fortunate to have a job that allows for travel, but there is nothing like coming home to the Keys. I'm married to my best friend Scott. He's a musician and we write songs together. I love floating on the Florida Bay with Scott on SerenityNow every chance I get. We have a great cat named Pea Pi that we spoil rotten.
I'm a member of 2 wonderful groups of friends: The Diva's (Dauphin Island Vacation Alliance - a truly amazing group of women) and the Green Fairy Absinthe club (well, we drink absinthe and have green fairy tattoos, what more can I say.)
I'm close to my family and value true friendship. Richard Bach said, "The bond that links your true family is not one of blood, but of respect and joy in each other's life. Rarely do members of one family grow up under the same roof." I believe that. I have friends who are family that I am not related to. However, I am fortunate to also have blood relatives that would be my family even without the blood. My brothers are 2 of my best friends, I get along with my parents, have fun with them in fact, and have wonderful in-laws. I try not to have regrets. I'm not saying there aren't things in my past that I wish had been different, but every choice and action made me who I am today, and I wouldn't change that. Pretty much anyone that I have cared about or loved in my life still has a place in my heart. Love does not go away. It can change, but the heart doesn't stop loving.
Good friends and family are too important and too hard to come by to let anyone go easily. So, hold on to them when you find them!..
