backwards tape echo and dusty 12" V/As... ...In an age steeped in the myths of the ancient and the promises of the new, one thing stands as a true testament to the enduring power of the human spirit. Sense and trial are but mere artifice in the proverbial 'witch's tomb' of modern living. From the secluded tops of the world's highest mountains to the grubby pavement of East Atlanta, not much can stop the thoughts and deeds of minds invested in creation. Harkening from and traveling beyond the pursuits of the past greats, the mind conforms to the standards of thought and inspiration not to the standards of living. Such has been the true glut of any artist, and such is the case today as much as it ever was in the past. Anything is possible where up and down converge and the apex of symmetry and the eye at the center is both living, dead and eternal. A great force possesses those who feel it's call. And from out of some great human solitude comes a greater, more lasting web of unity. Feeding on the suffering around and making its sour tinge somehow sweeter, the eternal human truth is not temporal. There is no time like now that has not been cavorted with in the past. And with each passing day, those archaic thoughts and deeds find their way into the mind's of the seeing and the seeking and wind a silken vine from the brain to the sun--and in it's wake, leave for us weary, wandering souls a plentitude of invaluable, mind-nourshing vitals. For the prophets, the painters, and the genuinely concerned--for evil or for good--the Natural Extension Concept is as old as the greatest spark, as expansive as the untold universe. It was beaten together out of fear and uncertainty and sparked the dawn of civilization. It was smeared onto cave walls and held sacred in the world of imagination. It was fabricated, aimed and shot into the heads of countless, roving armies. It was scored onto sheets of yellow parchment in the blackest of ink and summoned into the grand halls of antiquity. ...And now, timeless yet ever-widening, it was born in this bunch of creators--the truth still truth, the path still new.
