| Nikola Riha musician - writer - painter - moviemaker. "Nikavelo" was born in Innsbruck. Influenzed by Jazz, Pop, rock and chansons: Edith, Piaf, Harvie S.; Michael Woolf, Franz Hackl, Christian Wegscheider, Stan Getz, John Lennon; Roland Heinz; Adam Holzman; Mike Keanelly...outreach jazzworkshops in schwaz. She started in an alternative rock band with the singer and composer Barbara Ladinig. The Band named "Innfee". Nikavelo played there the tenor saxophon and was singing and composing. Then she was member of the Rockband "grün bei 50" as Saxophon player and background singer. The Big Band Innsbruck from the musicschool invited nikavelo to become their singer. So she started into the jazzrepertoire. At the same time she was playing together with the pianist Michael Walch. He was student of Christian Wegscheider and invited nikavelo to play in the Jazzband of the Musicschool of Innsbruck. There she sang a Jazzrepertoire and they had lots of gigs. Nikavelo went to the Konservatorium Innsbruck Jazz and Popular Music teacher Stefan Costa, Martin Nitsch, Roland Heinz. But there was no teacher for singing, so she decided to go to Vienna. She went to workshops with Gen Prisker, Michael Woolf, Mike Keanelly, Harvie S. and Thomas Kugi. Singing Workshops by Sheila Cooper and Linda Sharrock. Nikavelo is singer, composer, texter in different languages. Bossa nova, blues, pop, rock. With Roland Kröpfl nikavelo works on electronics songs. She likes to make sound experiments with here special dark voice. She cuts own films, documentations, comedies and is writer and free journalist. Now she is living and working in Vienna and Tyrol. She works on an jazzprogramm for piano and vocal with the swedish composer, percussionst and pianist Fredrik Bobr. Project togehter with Andreas Sagmeister, arranger, gitarrist and bassist and his Band palying Jazzsongs from the 30 and more. Now she is working on her CD. Also with raeterromanian songs.
