Hailing from New York City, Sima is a powerful vocalist and songwriter who has all the makings of a rock star. At a young age she discovered her love for music and began singing and performing. Growing up sharing a room with her older sister Janet, a huge rock music fan, Sima was introduced to bands such as Pink Floyd, Metallica, Iron Maiden, Guns N' Roses, the Doors and later became inspired by bands such as Nirvana, Led Zeppelin, U2, Stone Temple Pilot, Nine inch nails, Pearl Jam,Radio head,The cranberries,Alanis morrisete,stevie Nicks Not limited to the rock genre, Sima also drew inspiration from artists like, Fiona Apple,Madonna, Bjork, Tori Amos,Sarah mclaughlin. In 2000 Sima decided to leave her home, her family, and friends back in isreal and moved to Manhattan to pursue her dreams. After a short while she met Diego and Aron Knight who were two young producers from London. The brothers believed that Sima was a talented singer and songwriter with incredible vocals and after two years of writing songs she was ready to record her songs. Sima decided to travel upstate to Ithaca where she worked with Mike Parker and Alex Perialas, a producer who has worked with bands such as Anthrax and Overkill. Her sound is pop rock, with driving guitars and strong vocals and with lyrics that are true to her personality and life experiences. These songs reflect the journey and life experiences, moving to new york, love and pain that everyone around can relate to and understand. Sima is also a very talented actress, she is studying acting at Stella Adler Studios and is currently with Susan Batson and Anthony Vincent Bova, the best acting coaches in the business and would love to combine acting and music. She is currently shooting an indie film that might feature some of her music . |
