Jackson Road is Nate Weldon (vocals & rhythm guitar), Ted Weldon (lead guitar), Christian Peters (drums), and Nathan Gonzales (bass guitar) Each have been playing and composing for years. Their backgrounds have influenced and inspired the energy behind their work. Nate has worked as a Wildland Firefighter on the Tahoe National Forest. His adventures have taken him throughout the United States. Ted has always made his living as an artist- his paintings can be found throughout California. Christian is a man of recreation- he surfs, skates, and snowboards. Nathan is Jackson Road’s newest addition. He's been a student of music, among other things. The band has been recording and mixing their debut album and anticipate it’s release early 2008. Their high-energy rock / alternative music covers a lot of ground, and often has them venturing into acoustic rhythms and textures, and exploring world elements. In May, 2007, Sacramento’s Alternative station KWOD 106.5 announced Jackson Road as one of ten finalists for their Summer Buzz Contest. In this contest, KWOD chose ten local bands from over 116 applicants based on the quality of their original songs and music videos. On July 12, 2007, Jackson Road appeared live on Sacramento’s News10 on Sacramento & Company for a performance and interview from ABC Studios. Jackson Road was also featured on Sacramento’s Channel 3 News for their participation of a benefit concert for the victims of the Angora Fire. Good Day Sacramento too!
