WORLD DUB FROM GERMANY Der audioschmied a.k.a. Daniel Oliver Habenicht formed his first Band “Morbid Condition” at the age of 16. Together they played Grindcore and were the fastest Punkband in north Germany (at least that was what they were thinking). After a while some guys from Hamburg told Daniel he would do better to play in Hamburg with them and so he did. He played six years in the Hardcore formation “Desert Storm” with two releases and a lot of gigs all around Europe. Daniel left the band and decided to make more computerbased music and have his experience in Drum’n Bass and Dub. Later on he went to France for about two years where he only took an acoustic guitar with him. In France he lived and worked on organic farms and in communities and played with several musicians from different countries. Back home he decided that he wanted to make nothing else then music. Now he composes music for movies and commercials and begins to rise up his Dub project. He loves Worldmusic and ambient sounds, Free Jazz and Classic, of course Reggae and Dub. According to Daniel, Dub is the best way to mix all these influences together. Thank God for the possibility to make and enjoy music from all over the world. Love and Peace!
