Soon enough, she realized that music could embellish those words and that..s how her first song, “Each step” came to life at age 11. Buenos Aires, the metropolitan city has notoriously influenced Eleonora: the mixture of sounds: urban and suburban, polished and tribal along with her childhood favorites such as Stevie Wonder, Aretha Franklin, Jackson 5 and Gladys Knight led her music to be eclectic but at the same time strong and identifiable: soul, hip hop, R&B and funk. Buenos Aires also being the cradle of Tango educated Eleonora with blunt- not so- happy -kind of lyrics:“ I know nothing about subtleties: I can be very material with my lyrics: colors, shapes, textures, all intertwined with the feeling I..m going through . I am constantly trying to find new ways of expression”After high school graduation, she picked her favorite songs of her own to enter a studio. 2003 found this singer and songwriter through recording sessions, Gospel workshops, a Blues band and rehearsals altogether. By November that same year, she decided to give that fruitful year a good closure, and performed with Blue Horizon, her Blues band, at the Juan B. Justo Theatre for more than 300 people. In 2005 she gathered musicians and played her songs in the most relevant places of the city: The Road Bar, The House of Blues and Honkers. At the time she is combining heavy rehearsal hours with introspective writing In two months time she will go back to the studio to record new material so that hopefully, by the end of the year “everybody out there will know how this introspective silence has finally turned into great music…” |

Music:Member Since: 1/17/2007Band Members:ESPAÑOL:Eleonora comenzó su proceso creativo a los 8 años escribiendo poemas y fábulas. Acompañaba aquellos momentos creativos con música clásica Motown de prolíferos artistas como Stevie Wonder, The Temptations y los Jackson 5. Estos artistas marcarían a esta cantante argentina en su estilo musical: una interesante combinación de r&B, funk,soul y algo de hip hop. Inspirada por artistas femeninas de renombre internacional como Carol King, Joni Mitchell y Mariah Carey, decidió componer sus propias canciones, y así, su primera canción, Each Step- compuesta íntegamente en inglés- surgió a los 11 años de edad. Al finalizar el secundario, Eleonora comenzó a comprometerse aún más a sus letras bajo la influencia literaria de sus autores favoritos como Allen Ginsberg, Dylan Thomas y músicos como Bob Dylan, Tom Waits, Nick Cave y Joni Mitchell A los 19 años, cantó junto con sus compañeros de Canto a cargo del Prof. Daniel Di Pace en un teatro porteño llamado La Almohada: allí interpretaron canciones populares argentinas y una conmovedora melodía gospel. En el año 2000, seleccionó sus canciones favoritas de su repertorio y las grabó en un estudio profesional. Eleonora se involucró en cada parte del proceso de producción, escogiendo los precisos beats e instrumentos. Además, estuvo a cargo de los arreglos vocales y musicales. Para el 2003, Eleonora tomó la decisión de academizar su afición por la música afroamericana e ingresó al prestigioso Collegium Musicum de Buenos Aires, en su Escuela de Blues: allí tomó clases de técnica vocal, armonía y arreglos aplicados a diversos estilos: blues, country blues y urban blues. Eleonora tuvo la gran oportunidad de poder aprender de músicos prolíferos del blues argentino como Gabriel Gratzer (www.gabrielgratzer.com.ar ) quien estaba a cargo de los talleres de Gospel y Negro Spirituals a los que la artista asistió. Posteriormente, Eleonora sería convocada por su profesor para el IV Gospel and Negro Spiritual Festival of Buenos Aires como miembro de su cuarteto gospel, donde interpretó clásicos del género como “Give me that old time religion” y “So glad I´m here”. Paralelamente, Eleonora formó su banda de blues,Blue Horizon, presentándose en los reductos más célebres de la escena del Blues de Buenos Aires. Concluyeron el tan exitoso 2003 con una presentación en el Teatro Juan B. Justo para 300 personas. En los próximos meses, Eleonora entrará al estudio para volcar sus últimas vivencias con letras en inglés y en español.
