Bay Area home grown Curtis V is a new artist with an old soul. This project "RSVP", a collaboration of "Spoken Word" & "Smooth Jazz" is unprecedented in its style. The art of Poetry with Music called "Spoken Word" has long been around, most famously "The Last Poets" and "Gil Scott Heron". Curtis V has teamed up with former Maze featuring Frankie Beverly lead guitarist Ron Smith to change "Spoken Word" into "Smooth Word". This joint venture of prolific, sensual, seductive lyrics and soulful, teasing and tantalizing guitar riffs gives you a CD packed with Power and Punch!!! One can easily get caught up in the reality of envisioning themselves in the storyline of "Beneath the Bridge" or caught up in the room of "Boudoir Ballet". Yes you are there when Curtis performs his magic. "He's A Poet", gives you complete understanding of what and who Curtis V really is.
