| Dr. Ronald S. Lubetsky was born in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. An active concert pianist for nearly 30 years, his repertory encompasses a wide and varied roster of works ranging from Bach and Scarlatti to Barber and Ginastera. Dr. Lubetsky began his musical studies at an early age, working under the tutelage of such pianists as Ferguson Webster, Nelson Whittaker, Theodore Lettvin and Anthony di Bonaventura. Dr. Lubetsky completed his musical education at Carnegie-Mellon University, the University of Michigan at Ann Arbor, and at Harvard University. His performances have included solo, chamber and live radio recitals in Pennsylvania, New York, Massachusetts, Colorado, California and Florida. He also maintains a personal website of his live recordings on the Internet ( hometown.aol.com/drlubetsky ). Also active as a composer, Dr. Lubetsky is a past recipient of two B.M.I. Awards for Student Composers, and has won distinction in the Politis International Music Competition. In addition to his musical studies, Dr. Lubetsky is a graduate of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine, and also holds a law degree from the University of Miami. He currently maintains a busy internal medicine/infectious disease practice in the greater Miami area, where he has lived since 1998. |
