ESPAÑOL Katharsys es una banda originaria de la ciudad de Aguascalientes, México. Se formó a mediados del 2006 cuando el guitarrista Pedro Andrés Guerrero y el vocalista Pavel Boudniak deciden dejar su antigua banda de covers de heavy metal, Romasanta, con miras a formar un proyecto de música original. Es entonces cuando contactan al guitarrista Juan Carlos Reyes y empiezan a componer durante varios meses, entrando posteriormente a la alineación el baterista Miguel Angel Soto y la tecladista RocÃo Rubalcava. Trabajan un tiempo y a principios del 2007 graban un demo casero homónimo, que nunca salió a la venta pero sin embargo sirvió para consolidar sus canciones. Con esta grabación se comienzan a abrir camino entre los escenarios de la ciudad, donde comienzan a tocar bastante seguido por una temporada. Poco tiempo después entra a la agrupación Bruno Mair como bajista, pero desafortunadamente surgen también problemas con Pavel, por lo que deja la alineación y es reemplazado por Mike Martell. La banda comienza entonces otro perÃodo de ardúa difusión, participando en algunos festivales, conciertos e incluso siendo entrevistados por radio en dos ocasiones. La banda continua bien un tiempo, pero por problemas ajenos a la banda, salen de la formación RocÃo, Mike y Miguel Angel; sin embargo, los miembros restantes no desisten, y siguen componiendo, a la vez que comienzan una nueva busqueda de integrantes. Casi inmediatamente entra a ocupar el lugar de baterista Mariano de Loera, y varios meses despues, Luis Delgado en la voz, con lo que la alineación se completa de nuevo, hasta como permanece actualmente. A mediados del 2008 deciden comenzar la grabación de su primer EP de forma profesional, THE SEEKING, el cual fue presentado en enero del 2009. A la fecha la banda continúa promocionando este EP y preparan las composiciones para su segundo material. ENGLISH Katharsys is a band from the city of Aguascalientes, Mexico. It was spawn somewhere in 2006 when guitar player Pedro Andrés Guerrero and singer Pavel Boudniak decided to leave their old heavy metal covers band, Romasanta, to create an original music proyect. It was then when they got in touch with the guitar player Juan Carlos Reyes and began to work for some months, joining later drummer Miguel Angel Soto and keyboard player Rocio Rubalcava. They worked for a while and in the begginings of 2007 they recorded a homemade ep, this one never reached the stores but still it served to grow up songs. With this recording they started to open way in the city..s scene, where they began to play a lot for a while. Short time after Bruno Mair joins the band as bass player, but unfortunately also came up some problems with Pavel, so he leaved the band and his place was taken by Mike Martell. It is then when the band begun a new period promoting itself, taking part in some festivals, concerts and even being interviewed twice. The band went nice for some time, but because of some foreign problems, Mike Martell, Rocio and Miguel Angel were forced to leave the band. However, the members that remained did not desist, and they continue working, at the same time that they start a new seeking for the new members. Almost inmediatly Mariano de Loera took the place of drummer, and several months later, Luis Delgado joined as singer. With that the formation was complete again, and so it keeps until now. In the summer of 2008 they began recording their first professional EP, THE SEEKING; wich was presented on january of 2009. Until this day the band remains promoting this new material, and they are preparing the songs for the second one. |
