| Dopo sette anni di attività, sprizzando buona musica e divertimento da tutti i pori,i PORN'O'FUNKY sono diventati maturi.E il divertimento sta nel significato stesso di suonare il "Funk" ..la musica che più diverte i componenti della band e fa divertire il pubblico..Per questo il patron della formazione,alias "Tony Ficante" ha deciso di fondersi con la band del newyorkese Dre Love(alias Andre thomas Halyard) e di dare vita ad un nuovo progetto con pezzi propri e tributi a quei musicisti che sono cresciuti nel delta del Mississippi (che nella lingua degli Indiani Algonchini significa Grande Fiume o Padre delle Acque).Il Mississippi è anche il padre del Blues e del soul..il soul che si è evoluto in funk grazie al talento di grandi artisti di Detroit come Marvin Gaye,di Chicago quali Curtis Mayfield,di New orleans come Eddie Bo e di Memphis quali Isaac Hayes..Dre & P-Funky horns rendono omaggio agli autori e alle etichette americane(Stax,Curtom,Motown)che li hanno fatto crescere musicalmente in un viaggio lungo il grande fiume della musica..dagli anni '60 agli anni '70..Sempre più coinvolgenti, sempre più esilaranti le loro performances live, nelle quali frizzanti gag vengono alternate a ritmi incalzanti e assoli trascinanti.La ricetta vincente della band? Otto elementi "tutti da godere", una sezione ritmica dinamica ed esplosiva, una front-line (trombone, e sax vari..) molto particolare e godibilissima, una manciata di goliardia "on stage" e accuratezza negli arrangiamenti.Un vero show,alla maniera dei compositori come Kool & The Gand,Parliament,Mandrill,che hanno fatto dei loro concerti dei veri e propri happening di musica "black"..e quando il blues incrocia la dance,il risultato è spettacolare.. An incredible mix of rhythm and passion, a sound sometimes gentle and white, sometimes dirty and rough, like the groove's black God, who rocks the dancer's soul. Pornofunky now has turned out into a new artistic creation..Tony Ficante,the godfather of this project has decided to split two bands into one..so from Dre Love's band and Pornofunky now we've got Dre & P-Funky horns.. The band enjoy its audience by the fine art of Funk strictly inspired by the black music world Now joining this deep male vocal from NY,they've got the dirtiest sound ever known. Stage after stage, beach after beach, party after party this bands converts people to the groove, swinging and holding them in a crazy “p” dance. Feel the Groove and support them! |
