Laurel Canyon is where she calls home in the hustle and bustle of Los Angeles. LATINA is ‘naturally’ comfortable living in the West Hollywood Hills. “Laurel Canyon is a gem. Living here as a writer is a Healing Haven and there is a distinctive energy that is felt from the wonderful people that live here. It’s Love:) Everyone’s got that down here.” Having toured with, appeared live and/or worked in the studio with artist like El Debarge, Jody Watley, Barry White, Maxwell, Gwen Stefani, Macy Gray, Justin Timberlake to name a few, she has her fair share of experience. When comparing studio with live work, LATINA finds that both are equally rewarding. “The live shows are exciting because each time you perform you realize that you’ve learned a lot more than you would of imagined. Studio work and writing are deliciously repetitious." If you ask LATINA when did her journey begin she would tell you that it has only just started. “ When I was in High School I was on a Junior Olympic volleyball team for my region in Arlington/Dallas, a professional model at 18, a model contestant on Star Search 95’, a professional singer since about 1995-96 because my first gig was El Debarge. And I'm a mother of a nine year old daughter. Like some people in this lifetime, I had a pretty bumpy road during my early years. These days I’ve learned to take the short routes and I’ve even paved a few paths for myself as well.” Life is just one big sandwich stacked neatly high and when you begin to take a bite; things start to gush out from every direction. In life you have to somehow find a way to eat without your sandwich falling apart. That takes a ton of determination and love at the same time. Life is a mess! A Great BIG scrumptious mess!" LOL‘I’M LATINA WEBB, HAVE YOU HAD YOUR SONG TODAY?’ is the new album title that she is currently writing for. If you could put a name to her style ‘Organic’ springs to mind and Joni Mitchell may roll off a few tongues. The melodic lyric’s and catchy hook’s of LATINA’S work are just some of the ear candy that listener’s enjoy. “ I think most listener’s focus on the voice first and then they listen to the lyrics. People comment on my voice in the most receptive ways, which makes me smile, but they may not be aware that I write a lot of my songs as well. But that doesn’t mean that I wouldn’t love to work with other writer’s/artists on different projects. I believe that this new journey I’m beginning will present those opportunities.”On, ‘I’M LATINA WEBB, HAVE YOU HAD YOUR SONG TODAY?’ I’m exploring quite a bit with just being comfortable with myself in the here and now."
