I'd like to meet:I am a sobreviviente, a survivor. I survived 7 years of molestation at the hands of my own father; I survived several sexually, verbally and physically abusive relationships. I survived a rape on October 10th, 2004 and a resulting pregnancy. I have written my story in a book entitled, "To Dance Amongst The Stars," which will be published soon. I am also a spokes model, and a speaker for RAINN. My life's goal is to reach out and help other women. Together, we can reclaim our lives, our power. Rape, sexual assault, incest dramatically affects us, but we are survivors, NOT victims! We are not rape victims, we are rape SURVIVORS. Every 60 seconds, a woman is raped. The teal armband on my left arm is a reminder, and a badge of honor proving my strength and resilience. April is National Sexual Assault Awareness Month, but every day we must fight these predators. Survivors, friends and family members of survivors, supporters of our cause. Anyone who wants to help make a difference. *********************** As a model and a writer, my goal is to regain my power & reclaim my body, and to help empower other women.
