Music:Member Since: 2/1/2007Band Website: polabare.net Band Members: Brad Burgess a.k.a. Pola Bare Pola was born Bradley Burgess in 1981 @ Illinois Masonic hospital in Chicago. Growing up on the northwest side of the city he declared “I shall be one of the greatest of all time”. Back in the late 80’s when he was a child pola discovered hip hop music and taggin up the neighborhood with black shoe polish and from that day on he was addicted. Brought up on the likes of such artists as krs-one, rakim and n.w.a it was all over and from those years of diggin history on wax he wanted to be more than just an interpreter. In the early 90’s pola began to spin records and then lost his love for djing to writing his own rhymes and freestylin in late 93’. For the next couple years he flowed over other cats instrumentals and was starting to make a name for himself with other local emcees and hip hop crews. Sooner than later he came to the conclusion “I want to make my own beats” so with the help from his mother he got his first beat machine…the dr.550 and a cheap ass roland keyboard, that was the world to him. As time went on he started getting into the rave seen and not only following his dream for hip hop but also his love for electronic music, he was also brought up on. So in 96’ is when he started really concentrating on techno, trance and drum&bass then later pressing his first hard trance record in 00’ and another in 02’ which did o.k. on the underground scene but would never make it nationwide do to lack of money and promotion. Pola also moved to Orlando Florida where he went to the University of Full Sail for the recording arts and realized he did not want to be a sound engineer so he dropped out and moved back to the chi. Going back home he got to concentrating on his hip hop album and various projects he has taken part of. Now days 07’ about to be 08’ he performs regularly in a nationally known reggae band called “Zeleke” and is in the process of putting out a new hip hop/reggae induced cd in early 08’.
