Madeira is so beautiful and I miss it very much! It is a floating garden! There is a saying in Portuguese "A Madeira e um Jardim". Which means "Madeira is a Garden"!! Well, actually there is a song with these words..... It is located in the Atlantic Ocean between the Azores and the Canary Islands. 600 Miles south of Lisbon, Portugal and 400 Miles west of Morocco, Africa! It's actually called "The Pearl of the Atlantic"! http://www.madeira-web.com/ I found this picture below of a sunset in Madeira from Photobucket.com Soon I will post more of my personal photos from previous years, family and friends:-) Adopted to a wonderful family in Rochester, New York at the age of 11. My dad was Sicilian and my mom Portuguese also. My dad passed away a year ago:-( I moved to AZ in 1992 and have been here ever since. I prefer warm weather over freezing temperatures. I do try to go back to visit my family in Rochester a couple times a year. As often as I can! I don't use drugs and don't wish to hang around others who do. I have drinks with friends from time to time though. Mostly on the weekends. I don't smoke. I'd like to meet: I like these poems and I wanted to share them with everyone!! Myspace Layouts Girly Myspace Layouts Butterflies at crazyprofile.comI would LOVE to meet my birth brother who was born in Madeira Island in November,1982 and was adopted at birth. He would be 25 years old now!! I tried to find him when he turned 18. I was told his father was in the military somewhere in Portugal, maybe Porto. I believe his adopted name is FRANCISCO SILVA. Our Portuguese last name is Pimenta. There are 8 of us siblings and we were all separated back in the late 1970's and early 1980's. I am the only one that came to America in 1981 at 11 years old. I am the oldest of all of us and i know all my brothers and sisters but I was adopted before Francisco was born. I would like him to know that he has lots of brothers and sisters and that we miss him even though we have never met him. I will not give up searching for him and i know that one day we will meet him. My birth name was(Noelia Maria Abreu Rodrigues Pimenta). I hope one day soon Francisco and I will get to meet one another. I believe he would either be living in Madeira Island or on the mainland (Portugal) or possibly the Azores. Music: I love a variety of different types of music. Not just in English but in Spanish, Portuguese and Italian also! What i like least is rap and very heavy metal, or music with lots of swearing.I like Andrea Bocceli, Josh Groban, 80's rock, little bit of Country, love songs,Eagles, Journey, U2, Dido, too many favorites to list........... Check out Carina's video above! She is a singer from Madeira Island:) Check out beautiful Madeira in her video and hear her sing in Portuguese! I hope I meet her someday when I return!The song and video above is called "I can only imagine" by Mercy Me. I dedicate this song to my dad who passed away April 13th, 2006. We all miss him very much. This song was played at his wake! It was beautiful.
Movies: Somewhere in Time, Sleepless in Seattle, Devils Advocate, My Cousin Vinnie,Pretty Woman, Love Actually, Jerry McGuire, Forest Gump, 40 Year Old Virgin, The Notebook, "The Lion,the Witch and the Wardrobe", Disney films, Romance movies, Suspense thrillers, Dramas and a little bit of action films, some horror and some sci-fi. Television: These are some of my favorite shows to watch-Food Network Channel, Take Home Chef, Trading Spaces, While you were out, Travel shows, Seinfeld, Will & Grace, Friends, Everybody Loves Raymond, National Geographic, American Idol and HGTV.
Books: Cookbooks, Travel books, some Dean Koontz, Self-Help. A book that I just started reading is "Finding Noel". A friend of mine enjoyed it and thought i'd like it also since she knows about what i've been through in my life with having been seperated from my birth sisters and brothers and starting a new life with a new family, a good family though, not like in this book. WOW! I finished reading it this weekend! It made me cry. I recommend this book. Right now I'm reading "Conversations with GOD"-Book 1 thanks to Ritz:)
