Alert The Armory Rock / Screamo / Experimental Sunnyvale, California They are a 5 piece rock/alternative band out of Sunnyvale CA looking to make a difference in the world. The band is simple, they have Will on guitar, Victor on guitar also, Anthony on drums, Taylor on vocals, and Jimmy on bass. Ashes Ashes Alternative / Pop San Jose, California Coming close to their year mark of being together, Ashes Ashes has played over 70 shows, released two EP's, and has gained a promising fan base here in the bay area. Ashes Ashes delivers a positive message to its listeners and hope to make an impact on their everyday lives. In the coming months, expect Ashes Ashes to deliver a crash course through the pressures any individual will face in their daily life. Ashes Of A Forgotten Fire Hardcore / Screamo / Christian Napa, California Sarafina (formerly known as Ashes Of A Forgotten Fire) was formed by David and Tim in the winter of 2005. Tim and Dave saw a vision of a band that could do something different than what the local scene was doing. After going through a few drummers, they decided to have Olivia fill in until someone more permanent was found. Shortly thereafter it was decided that Olivia would become the full-time drummer. They then tried writing and recording music but soon parted ways with their guitarist over musical differences. Athens Hardcore / Thrash / Metal Modesto, California Athens, rooted in Modesto, California is delivering hardcore fans their new favorite band. The quintet formed in 2002 under an alternate name, but a shift in members and musical direction found them playing a more heavier metal influenced brand of hardcore. Indeed the band’s raw talent for performing live, alongside their newly recorded EP "The Morning Sacrament", has allowed them to develop their devout and geographically diverse fan base. Athens’ strength lies in the seamless combination of vocals and musical arrangement. Singer, Ray Quintero‘s voice carries new enthusiasm much like that of Botch, early Norma Jean, and Scarlet. Brea Alternative/ Rock Morgan Hill, California Brea is a band based out of Morgan Hill, California. Scott, Josh and Leia call it home. Leahy is from a place in the middle of the desert called "29 Palms." Hollis is from a place in the middle of the ocean called "Australia." They do what they love. They love what they do. We hope you enjoy the show. Charlie Progressive / Experimental / Indie Peabody, Massachusetts Charlie was born in the winter of 2005, their influences range from hard to soft, lyrical to instrumental storytelling, classic to cuttingly new, and are as diverse as each gentleman. They kicked off the summer of 2007, with a tour that they booked for themselves. It’s this dedication to their craft, and the love they have for the people who appreciate what they do, that makes them one of the most interesting and intimate feeling live bands around. If you’re looking to love and be loved by, then look no further than Charlie. Disarming Arctica Rock / Indie / Progressive Long Island, New York As a five-piece Indie band from Long Island, Disarming Arctica is slowly getting the word out about their up and coming band. If you don't pay attention to them here, then you'll be paying attention to them in the pages of magazines and features on websites most likely. They have a unique, easy-to-listen to sound, and most people can find something in the intricate songs to hold onto. For All We Know Christian / Pop / Hardcore Muskegon, Michigan As a five piece set, this band is breaking out onto the Michigan music scene with catchy thrashy songs and with sounds similar to Underoath, you will find them great to listen to. As a Christian band, they like to make it clear that anyone at any show or any time can ask about the religion, and they are very accepting. Plus the music is amazing. Kiss My Kick Screamo San Jose, California After two failed attempts of starting a band, drummer Charles Aquino and guitarist Tito Linhsamout decided to hook up with long time friends Cris and JB Inong and create a project driven by their own ideas. To fill in the voids the group picked up Michael (fire hands) Lapitan to play guitar and Anthony Babasa to play bass. Influenced by everything that makes your ears want it, these guys got together in the summer of 2006 in a quest to become 10 percent cooler. Lovers Make Liars Rock / Alternative / Powerpop Los Angeles, California Recreating a sound from their previous band As They Rise, Lovers Make Liars are forming a completely new sound and have high hopes of taking the music scene by storm. Be on the lookout for their name everywhere soon, they're going to make it big. Our Film Star Pop / Indie / Rock Michigan Our Film Star is from Michigan, and just put out their first EP called "The Vaccine" . Please check it out and let them know what you think. Pride Before The Fall Hard Rock Yuma, Arizona They were known in Yuma as "The Walking Armada". But they’ve since changed their name to "Pride Before The Fall", because the last name just didn’t feel right. It started of with Victoria and Stephen on acoustics. Now with Stephen they have a band. They recorded some stuff in June so hopefully we get that soon! Shipshape and Bristol Fashion Hardcore / Screamo / Rock Souther california "Band Bios are overrated, Here's the lay down, there was once a band, then a man, the man killed the band, then brought them back to life like Frankenstein. The New and Improved band started destroying cities and eating babies...They called the monster SHIPSHAPE AND BRISTOL FASHION!!! - - We Bring the Rock and You bring the . . . Egg Rolls?" switchSYNDROME Screamo / Experimental / Christian Aromas, California Playing shows all over the place from the Bay Area to Bakersfield, to a few music festivals, this screamo group is on its way to being the next little big thing. Their music speaks for itself, so hit 'em up and let them know what you think! The Ajax Takedown Rock / Hardcore Mountain View, California From the heart of the San Francisco Bay Area music scene comes The Ajax Takedown. The band released their first EP, Hero Proof Plan, in the summer of 2006. The Ajax Takedown has just finished recording their first full-length album and looks to gig as much as possible in the coming year and plan on debuting in many new cities. This hard working musical unit has designs on their future and are in the process of taking down audiences on every stage they can. The Forgotten Secret Screamo / Hardcore / Metal Denver, Colorado The Forgotten Secret is a band based out of the Denver-Metro area of Colorado. Started in April 2007, the members are 14-16. The band is in the proccess of finishing their EP which is going to be named The Reach For The Unkown. Stay updated on these guys, they're going to go somewhere! The Maine Indie / Pop / Rock Phoenix, Arizona Seriously, they have a million videos. Just go and watch to see what they're about. Funny guys, great music. They make you go haha and The Morning Light Indie / Rock / Pop Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania The Morning Light is a new band from Pittsburgh, Pa. Formed from Harrison and Matt from the band Transition and their best friend Bobby, The Morning Light started as a way to just play music the members wanted to have complete creative control over, not worrying about anyone else. The only thing that really mattered was making music they all loved. Once Transition broke up it turned into a full band. There Goes The Neighborhood Rock Prunedale, California There Goes The Neighborhood is a band all about boarderless creation of music. They don't aim for a certain genre and don't believe in putting every band they hear in a specific category. To them, categorizing everything just encourages people to discriminate against bands they might have not even listened too. They're also about having a good time, playing Super Smash Bro's on breaks during practice as well as making fun of each other and whoring themselves out as much as humanly possible. They think they have an orginal sound but that's really for you to decide. |
