Chamber - "Insane" high definition web version Chamber's vision is exquisite acoustic music. Emotion, pleasure and power, a musical sensation for all senses. Classically instrumented, sweeping staged, created by a unique voice, touching, stirring songs and an ensemble of outstanding orchestra musicians. Chamber is music for epicures! 1998: Viennese singer/songwriter Marcus Testory unites contrabass, cello, viola and violins with his guitars and chant to Chamber - L' Orchestre De Chambre Noir. " ...Bittersweet, just like Leonhard Cohen or Nick Cave, the sound of this orchestra transmits a magical feel within it's songs full of emotion, desire and a breeze of black humor..." (Frankfurter Rundschau 12/2002) 2002: Chamber releases the debut-album L' Orchestre De Chambre Noir (Trisol/EFA). Lifted by public and press, Ghoststories And Fairy-Tales (Trisol/EFA) follows in 2003 and establishesChamber within the international music-scene. 2004: Two further recordings rise, Miles Away (Trisol / SoulFood) and Solitude (Trisol/Soulfood), followed by successful festival apperances and touring. 2005: By creating the piano-quartet Chamber's Quadro Nero and the guitar-duo Chamber's House Of Tales, Marcus Testory introduces an expansion of Chamber presentation-forms for theaters, variety and cabaret. 2006: The Quadro Nero album Epilogue is released within the re-release of Chamber's debut-album L' Orchestre De Chambre Noir (Trisol/Soulfood). Once In A Liftime , a tour cooperation with german goth-rockband Asp is accomponied by another special release; Humility (Trisol/Soulfood). In October 2006, producer Thomas Schmitt-Zijnen, Marcus Testory and the whole Chamber-ensemble start working on Chamber's new album, previewed to be released in autumn 2007. The dubble-live-CD Once In A Lifetime (Trisol/Soulfood), recorded during last year's tour and released in may 2007 shall ease the days till autumn... 2007 is the year of "Transitions" in word, tongue and work. The album, released in October causes the biggest press echo and positive reviews ever. It is Chamber's first album to be released simultaniously online and in stores. 2008, the year of Chamber's 10th anniversary starts with a "Spring Arising Tour", followed by a fulminant concert at WGT festival. Further activities are planned, such as a ten year anniversary CD to be released in autumn. |
