| Formed in January '07 in the depths of a Liverpool winter Nouveau Django (after a couple of jam sessions) was borne out of necessity. Although both from Liverpool, Micky Dunne & George Maher met at the annual Django Reinhardt festival held in Samois-sur-Seine through mutual friends and for 3 or so years formed part of the rythym section for the amazing Gary Potter performing in various venues and festivals up and down the country.Hayden John is a fantastic violin player who has experienced most genres of music including Classical,Folk,Irish,Bluegrass and Jazz. One of Hayden's many claims to fame is that his playing is featured on the soundtrack for the Guy Ritchie film SNATCH. Hayden also performs in a great duo gigging around the North West called White Lightning.The name 'Nouveau Django' came from a couple of brainstoming sessions at Hayden's place and after a few Spinal Tap moments we decided to stick with it, not because we profess to be the next Django but 'cause we think it works as a name!Thanks for visiting our space, we hope you like it.
