I MARYLAND nascono nell'ottobre del 2006 da un incontro fra Francesco (chitarrista) e Filippo (batterista) durante un concerto. Entrambi provenienti da diverse esperienze musicali decidono di formare un gruppo di stampo rock proponendo cover di gruppi come Guano Apes, Whitesnake, Garbage, Living Colour, Anouk, Alanis Morissette e altri brani rivisitati sempre in chiave rock di artisti come Michael Jackson, Shocking Blue, Madonna e Michael Sembello. Poco dopo con l'arrivo di Federico al basso e Lucia alla voce la band è al completo. A marzo del 2007 registrano il demo nell'axis studio, e a giugno iniziano un'intensa attività live. ____________________________________________________________ _____ MARYLAND was founded in October 2006, when Francesco (guitar) and Filippo (drums) met at a concert. Both had previous experience in music and wanted to form a rock band playing covers by Guano Apes, Whitesnake, Garbage, Living Colour, Anouk, Alanis Morissette, but also rock versions of songs by Michael Jackson, Shocking Blue, Madonna, and Michael Sembello. The band was completed some time after their meeting, when Federico (bass) and Lucia (vocals) joined them.
