My Interests |
| Music and the arts...and history...local history is especially appealling to me. Obsessed with Whitemarsh Hall and Willow Grove Park. Love the photography thing, have had loads of rockin' shots published and stolen all around the world. | |
I'd like to meet:Adam Ant, Banksy, Duffy, Peter Frampton, Alex Turner, Russell Brand, and Roz Kelly. Everyone else I've been fortunate to have met...the rest are long gone. |
Music:Love all kinds of music, with the exception of anything that's appeared in the American Top 40 Charts within the last 20 years. If you want to hear good music, check out BBC6 Music. Great stuff is still being recorded, but you'll never hear it on American radio. Richard Hawley is incredible. The fact that he's unheard of in the U.S. is as maddening as it is par for the course. The man is the real deal. |
Movies:"Lost In Translation" (Bill Murray is an American treasure), "Christiane F", "Rude Boy", "A Hard Days Night" and "Round Midnight" are all-time favorites. "Sideways" is also a great one. |
Television:History Channel, Discovery Channel and PBS whenever "Antiques Roadshow" is on. You can keep the rest of it. All crap. It's a "Simon Cowell World" and I don't like it. |
Books:"Cats, Tats, Cars and Creepers" by Smutty Smith, "Shang-a-Lang" by Les McKeown, "Redemption Song, the ballad of Joe Strummer" by Chris Salewicz and "The Death of Elvis" by Thompson & Cole. |
Heroes:My Dad. |

Public Service Announcement (without guitars) |

| Never done this blog thing before, but I'm gonna try it to get the word out about something. For almost 10 years I worked for a famous guitar player and his famous band(s). I don't anymore. If you're ... Posted by Tommy on Thu, 16 Oct 2008 03:12:00 PST |
