Guernica project began in January 2002. After having successfully played for seven years (since 1995) in south Italy clubs with great favor of the audience, thanks to their good live performances as a cover band and the special care paid to sounds, they decided to accept the challenge of creating original works. Unstoppable song writers, they collect today more than 30 songs, not considering acoustic versions of their works! The outstanding musicians in the band are (in alphabetic order): Tony D..Alessio - vocals; Goffredo De Prisco - guitars and piano; Enzo Di Somma - cello; Diego Iannaccone - bass; Enzo Scorzeto - drums and percussions; Massimo testa - guitars. They collected more than a single experience and collaborated with musicians and bands all around the Italian territory, they joined progressive, crossover, jazz, fusion, rock, blues, pop, funk, classic music, thrash bands and recorded many promo tracks and official albums (in Italy, Germany, France and more with world distribution) at the same time carrying on their live performances. They also undertook some theatre performances and sometime appeared in movies and TV shows. Attualmente vanta piu' di quaranta brani inediti in versione elettrica e/o acustica e tre CD autoprodotti: il primo con 6 brani, registrato nell..Aprile del 2002 presso lo Zapping Sound studio di Salvatore Salierno in Nocera Inf. (SA), dal titolo Senza censure, di estrazione rock, che vanta numerosissime ottime recensioni visibili sul sito www.guernicaband.it; il secondo, acustico, dal titolo Senza sudare, disponibile da luglio 2003; ed il terzo dal titolo, omonimo, Guernica, presentato a giugno 2005 grazie anche alla collaborazione e al patrocinio del Comune di Avellino. I tre cd sono distribuiti in proprio in Italia e in Svizzera e fino ad ora sono state vendute circa 3000 copie senza l..ausilio di alcuna forma di pubblicita' e distribuzione, ma contando solo sull..attivita' live. Nel settembre 2002 aprono come ospiti il Royal Rock Festival, concorso per gruppi emergenti di Caserta, nella suggestiva cornice della Reggia, con i Linea 77 di Torino. Sono seguite numerose esperienze live in alcune tra le piu' importanti piazze della regione grazie a produttive forme di collaborazione con alcune Istituzioni locali e non. Inoltre la band vanta numerose esperienze teatro-musicali con il supporto di attori locali tra cui Giuseppe Pavarese, con il quale il gruppo ha prodotto uno spettacolo di teatro-musica dal titolo Scatole, promosso in diversi contesti da piu' di un anno.
