| (((SHADOWCAST ORGANIZATION)))My life is centered primarily around MUSIC. I have been DJ'ing ( mostly dark. obscure. experimental. electronic dance music, new and classic EBM and Industrial .... lots of Electro/Electro Punk.On rare occasion, Acid Techno ( mostly from the post rave years 92-95 ) .. Italo-Disco classics and new Techno + Electro (that can be be described as Italo-Disco inspired music...) .... I am pretty eclectic ( I also play *shoegaze*/post-punk/coldwave/ psychedelic/goth/brit/dream/noise rock, various new "indie" rock and classics from the golden era of "alternative" music. ) AND much more, some of the greatest music ever, cannot be categorized into a specific genre or style. As for DJ'ing, When working with some material, the process and art of DJ'ing is more of a creative process and a communication of your feelings and vision to the listener, which is different than just playing songs one after another ( there is always some form of mixing involved,it is just that some of the mixing is more extensive with some material )( I do both in different types of situations, and it really depends on what type of situation that may be, that helps me decide how and what to play ) I really enjoy all of it! ...for the better part of 17 years and organizing events for the last 13. I have been involved in organizing events across a wide area of music. I can honestly say I have had a hand in some really special things and more recently, I have been booking talent in live music venues and nightclubs all across the states. I have always enjoyed this aspect of music very much as well, and things get cooler each day. My involvement in music and art, as well as lending myself to living on the edge, has connected me with some of the greatest people one could ever have the pleasure of knowing and i have very meaningful, lasting and valued friendships.... as well as given me experiences for which there are no words to describe. Most of this experience has helped my being able to be more involved with music and art. I have a tendency to take into deep consideration, the things it seems others would rather ignore and ignore the things others take into consideration. This has it's good and bad points. I enjoy the nightlife, sometimes a little too much ; ) I can be quiet and contemplative as well being very enthusiastic and outgoing..depends what i am doing or how I am feeling. I embrace the culture of both my parents, the diversity is really great , as my mother is Black/Puerto Rican/Black Foot Indian and my father was born in the Andhra Pradesh state of India. I consider myself a loyal friend, an honest lover, a big supporter of all things truly creative and subversive and very opinionated about the things that are obviously not ( ie; output generated without any integrity, solely for the purpose of commercial gain). I am originally from the East Coast ( Grade-High School and early 20's lived in Wilkes-Barre/Scranton P.A., born in Albany, NY ) and prior to moving to San Francisco in 1999 ( the city that OWNS my heart ) I lived in NYC ( with some time spent traveling between upper Northern California in Southern Humboldt through The Pacific North West mostly Portland and Eugene, Oregon and as far as Vancouver, British Columbia. I have been through our neighboring countries, Canada and Mexico, but not as of yet, have i done any over seas traveling..I hope to in the future ... I spent most of 2006 in Las Vegas.....long story short...Vegas lacks the aspects of what makes a place worth my time to spend living,imho there is very little that place has to offer in terms of culture ( the people, artist and musicians i made friends with are really awesome ), not that there isn't any at all ( my lending a hand in opening The Beauty Bar there was really cool! ), just not enough to keep me genuinely interested and it was easy for me to get distracted in that neon never ending party .... and now, I have decided to come back to the East Coast and spend time in NYC and eventually ...I will be back in San Francisco ( maybe? If not on a permanent basis, at least for frequent visits )....Now that i am in NYC, I am really looking forward to seeing friends i have not seen in a long time...getting involved in the music and art community...basically, taking part in things that help make NYC so great....................................................... ...........................................An open honest heart leads to enlightenment... ....
