EMY PERSIANI PRIVATE EVENT @ TIVOLI ENGLISH ITALIANCAFE' JAZZ SWING BLUES The JAZZ Quartet “ITALIANCAFE’ featuring Emy Persiani” is a project born after the casual meeting of the vocalist Emy Persiani and two members of the Jazz band LESTRIO:Steve Mariani and Ersilio Sali. An immediate “feeling” was born between Emy (a voice able to produce warm and seducing harmonies but also dynamic and lively refrains) and the musicians coming from different important experiences.The pianist and arranger Antonino Zappulla was called to join the project replacing the talented pianist Francesca Tandoi. In few months the band has been able to perform in several public and private events in Rome obtaining a good feedback from the audience thanks to the “biting” atmosphere of their music. Here some of the most important places they have performed at: CIRCOLO MONTECITORIO PALAZZO BRANCACCIO JAZZ CAFE' OPPIO CAFFE' MERULANA CAFE' ESTATE ROMANA 2008 IN XXa (GROTTAROSSA PARCO DI VEIO) CIRCOLO TORRINO SPORTING CLUB The Swing band ITALIANCAFE’ mainly plays Swing and Jazz Standards from the 30s and 40s both Italian and American. In May 2008 the group has replaced the electric bass player Steve Mariani with a double bass player to better match the swing/jazz era style ITALIANO ITALIANCAFE' di EMY PERSIANI JAZZ SWING BLUES Il quartetto ITALIANCAFE' di EMY PERSIANI nasce nel 2006 dall'incontro di due dei componenti del gruppo jazz LESTRIO: Ersilio Sali (batteria) e Steve Mariani (basso elettrico). Nasce subito un buon "feeling" tra i due musicisti con al loro attivo una lunga e provata esperienza nel campo jazzistico ed Emy talento vocale in grado di passare con disinvoltura dallo swing più dinamico e trascinante ad atmosfere impregnate di un caldo, sognante intimismo. Al pianoforte vi è per un periodo la giovane e talentuosa pianista Francesca Tandoi che poi, per suoi impegni, viene sostituita dal delicato e fantasioso pianista, arrangiatore Antonino Zappulla. In pochi mesi la band ITALIANCAFE' si è esibita in locali della capitale e dintorni ed in eventi privati riportando un buon successo di pubblico anche grazie all'atmosfera tra il brillante ed il melodico dei brani proposti. Ecco alcuni dei più importanti luoghi dove si sono esibiti gli ITALIANCAFE' di EMY PERSIANI : CIRCOLO MONTECITORIO PALAZZO BRANCACCIO JAZZ CAFE' OPPIO CAFFE' MERULANA CAFE' ESTATE ROMANA 2008 IN XXa (GROTTAROSSA PARCO DI VEIO) CIRCOLO TORRINO SPORTING CLUB Il repertorio include:standard jazz, musiche della tradizione swing italiana degli anni '30-'40, arie, ritmi e rivisitazioni in chiave swing, a volte anche un po' ironica, di grandi successi. Dal maggio 2008 il basso elettrico di Steve Mariani è stato sostituito con il contrabbasso di Andrea Pintucci per motivi di pertinenza stilistica con l'epoca delle musiche in repertorio. |
