| Cutaway Crossing is five Midwestern guys who have an incredible passion for music. We're just having a ton of fun making and playing great music; and that's the only reason we do what we do. If you don't have passion - you've got nothing!
Loosely formed in 2005, the group performed private functions and parties around the Kansas City area under various names until they decided to record their debut CD in March / April 2007. Cutaway Crossing begins.... The name Cutaway Crossing represents the origins and the essence of our band. All of our tunes are developed on acoustic guitars - the majority being cutaways. Also, playing together is our reason for "cutting away" from what we normally do day in, and day out. Our music is really a "crossing" of a number of influences, genres, textures, and years of very different experiences. Cutaway Crossing's debut album "This Exit" was completed March 2008 and has eleven original toe-tappin' tracks from the band... I Believe, Every Day, I Need This, Knock Me Down, Texas Way, Welcome Back to Tennessee, Connect, Don't Need to Talk About It, Luckenbach Today, Bumpkin's Gotta Party Down, Just Like I'm Supposed To. The guys are having a ball right now gigging, promoting their new CD and sharing their own version of Alt-County / Red-Dirt music. Thanks for stopping by and we hope you like what you hear!
