“L’ARTE MIGLIORE È QUELLA IN CUI LA MANO, LA TESTA E IL CUORE DI UN UOMO PROCEDONO IN ACCORDO”, Mr. Louis sembra aver seguito questa frase in pieno diventando in breve tempo un artista apprezzato per il suo talento e la personalità carismatica, è fra i pochi dj italiani ad aver suonato in quasi tutto il mondo. Luigi Mertoli in arte Mr.Louis nasce in Sicilia ma all’età di 15 anni decide di trasferirsi a Londra e qui intraprende la sua carriera da dj, la sua prima esperienza fu in un rave party in Scozia nel 1990. Inizia la sua carriera con la musica Techno e Hardcore . Dal 1991 al 1994 suona in ogni evento e party d’Inghilterra, Scozia e Galles, diventando sempre più popolare e avendo così la soddisfazione di suonare con i migliori dj internazionali. Nel 1995 ritorna a Catania (Sicilia), qui diventa dj resident per il gruppo Atmosphere (CT), l’esperienza inglese lo porta a far diventare subito famoso, questo perché riesce a proporre uno stile di techno che all’epoca non si conosceva in italia. Ddal 2000 al 2004 intraprende un nuovo stile musicale, la Goa, intraprende esperienze diverse, si esibisce nei migliori eventi Goa in quasi tutto il mondo, dal 2004 affina il suo sapere musicale con la minimal e technominimal. Attualmente il suo stile musicale è : minimal & technominimal, Goa, liquid goa, hardstyle & hardcore.
All’estero ed in Italia ha suonato: Pressure (Glasow-England), basics (Leeds-England), Fabric (London-England), Danzoo (madrid-spain), Vinyl (Varsavia-polland), Stiff kitten(Belfast-UK), Studio 80 (Amsterdam), Embassy (Weybridge - UK), jaiss (Firenze-italy), Blend (Athens-Greece), Ecu (Rimini-Italia), Number One (Brescia-Italia), Insomnia (Pisa-Italia), Cocoricò (Riccione-Italia), The Social (Londra-Inghilterra), Berghain (Berlino-Germania), Esque (Stoccolma-Svezia), Lux (Lisbona-Portogallo), ecc….
