About Me
Vortex is french duo featuring Nicolas Guerrero (guitars, vocals, programming) and Sonia Cohen-Skalli (bass, vocals). The first VORTEX Lp "Eksaiphnes" is released on the famous french label "Les Disques du Soleil et de l'Acier" . It's a real electric & experimental album, with walls of guitars sound, vocals deep in the mix, but also features quiet instrumental pieces of music in a more "ambient" mood, influenced by bands such as Suicide, My Bloody Valentine, Glenn Branca, Killing Joke, Sonic Youth... Nico Guerrero is currently involved in experimental art performances, melting dancer, installations and music live [see more on "La Frange IndÃ©cise" site]. he uses prepared guitars and electro-acoustic phenomena to shape strange sonic textures. His new video/dance project called SAMSARA [with Sylvia Hillard, dancer] takes place in the urban landscape of Reykjavik. It will give place soon to wild performances...
