| I Bad Apple Sons nascono dall'incontro tra il batterista Andrea Ligia, il pianista Clemente Biancalani, il chitarrista David Matteini e il bassista Andrea Cuccaro nel Settembre 2005. I quattro, come molti prima di loro, condividono la volontà di esprimersi in un gruppo musicale, anche e soprattutto consapevolmente critici nei confronti del filone italiano basato principalmente su un pop rinunciatario, spesso abilmente mascherato da "rock indie", "brit pop", "trash shitty pink punk and tling tlong". Le prime esperienze si muovono nel divertimento di proporre cover celebri e tirate, di un rock puro e travolgente (soprattutto Iggy Pop e White Stripes), poi progressivamente emerge una personalità musicale peculiare, e abbastanza importante per convincerli di essere buoni musicisti, con buone idee. Nascono così i primi pezzi. La loro proposta personale inizia a caratterizzarsi: sempre più difficile diventa, ad esempio, individuare un genere di riferimento (l'unica certezza è la lontananza da metal, punk, rap e ska). Tendenzialmente, e considerando la recente "minisvolta" psichedelica, tendono a far condividere all'interno del loro repertorio ballate col pianoforte, pezzi ossessivamente trance, pura psichedelia, rock violento. I riferimenti e le ispirazioni (in alcuni casi anche morbose citazioni) derivano, per vari aspetti, soprattutto da Radiohead, Nick Cave, Can e Liars. Al terzo anno di attività constano una quarantina di concerti in giro per la Toscana, con la sempre più lucida ahiNOI consapevolezza di quanto la lontananza dal CHORUS VERSUS CHORUS e l'onestà nel concepire una propria musica, con tutte le caratteristiche del caso, influisca nelle possibilità di suonare in giro. Da citare in questo senso la rissa scoppiata al termine di un'esibizinoe nel noto "Be Bop" che ha coivolto bad apple sons, sostenitori bad apple sons, amici di bad apple sons CONTRO proprietari di be bop, all'origine un diverso concetto di "volume appropriato". Nessun rancore. Tanta birra. Nell'Ottobre 2007 è uscito il loro demo "Cowards", quasi interamente ascoltabile poco più sopra della parola che avete appena letto e che continuate a leggere.
