Battle Cry se forma a fines de 1998 con Pedro y PC, ensayando en sus casas y viendo qué iba a pasar. Recién en 1999, la banda se completa y comienza a perfilarse entre el power metal y el heavy metal tradicional, con letras en inglés y algunos toques de thrash. Luego de cambios de formación y un demo en vivo, la banda pasa a cantar en castellano y a volverse más popular en la escena local, compartiendo escenario con bandas nacionales y de Bolivia, Brasil y Chile. Mas cambios de formación y el deseo de no claudicar hace que Battle Cry se endurezca más en la propuesta musical y se enfoque en dos proyectos diferentes; la gira soporte del disco Xuxuy y el hecho de componer una obra relacionada con el Exodo Jujeño, una de las partes más importantes de la historia de nuestra provincia. Con más de tres temas listos y el disco en la calle, la banda se perfila en la escena como una banda a tener en cuenta en el Heavy Metal del Norte Argentino!Battle Cry starts as a two man proyect, just to see what ideas colud be put together. By the time the band was completed, it was a mixture of Power and Heavy Metal with some Thrash-oriented riffs and lyrics in English. After some line-up changes and a live demo,the band changes language, and starts singing in Spanish, gaining populariy in the local scene and sharing stage with bands from Argentina, Chile, Bolivia and Brazil. More line-up changes, and the "no retreat - no surrender" idea fixed in mind, made Battle Cry musically stronger. Nowadays, the band is involved in two major projects; the imminent support tour of their debut album "XUXUY" and composing the Metal view of the "exodo jujeño" one of the most important parts of our province history. |
