BAND BIO

Rock-band PULSE OF REASON is the 2nd project of a guitarist and a composer Victor Zheludyak. His 1st Classic Hard Rock project ANGELS & DEMONS was quite popular in Russia in 90’s.

PULSE OF REASON was created in Kazan (Russia) in 2002. In this new project Victor was planning to write music of a more philosophical content, focused on a female vocal.

In December of 2004 the 1st CD-album of PoR “UnSTOPable” was recorded. European critics had noted the melodism of songs and the deep maintenance of compositions, as well as the contrast combination of a pure female vocal and a powerful accompaniment, built on a riff guitar music. The compositions of PULSE OF REASON represent a rare merge of a traditional Hard Rock with new alternative currents.
British “Powerplay Magazine” (Manchester, UK) gave “UnSTOPable” 9 powerpoints from 10, as well as a title of one of the best Melodic Rock albums of the year (Issue #66, May 2005):
“…the songs have enough air to be crammed full of soaring solos, catchy harmonies and groove galore - the riffs sinuously coil themselves around big beats, and it effortlessly conjures up the 80s, leaving you wanting more.” (Steve Swift) ( read a full review )
Song “Broken Angel” from this album was included on the promotional CD “POWER-files, chapter 23” (goes free with Powerplay Magazine #68).

In October of 2006 PULSE OF REASON have recorded their 2nd CD-album “Many Sides Of One”, which has more melodism and holds more philosophical atmosphere than the first one. It got 8 powerpoints from “Powerplay Magazine” (Issue #84, January 2007):

Song “Sandwoman” from this album was included on the promotional CD “POWER-files, chapter 28” (goes free with Powerplay Magazine #85).

At the moment PULSE OF REASON are working on their 3rd CD-album, which by plans of the musicians should become more global than the two previous albums.
