| "Music isn't just learning notes and playing them, You learn notes to play to the music of your soul." -Katie Greenwood Laura Wood is from El Paso, Texas where it is always sunny and always has the very best of Mexican Food! Laura began her musical career at the age of 5. Since then she has been in All-Region 6 years in a row as well as being in Philharmonic Strings since she was 10. UIL was also an annual event for her. Now, she is at Texas State University in San Marcos, Texas, a short drive from either Austin or San Antonio. Here, she is in the TxState Symphony as well as a violinist in the Sarinda String Quartet. Sarinda String Quartet was founded in the Fall of 2005. Since then, Sarinda's repertoire has grown exponentionally. www.sarindastringquartet.com "The most perfect expression of human behavior is a string quartet." -Jeffrey Tate Laura Wood is currently working on a bachelor's degree in Music Education with a String Emphasis. She has recorded with The Ars Supernova and Michael Martin Murphey. Once she obtains her bachelor's, she plans on attending a luthier school...Most likely the Chicago School of Violin Making.
