About Me
Myspace Layouts - Myspace Editor - Image Hosting It was in autumn in 2006 when Mynarr and Grzes decided to create a band. Their idea of how it should sound was pretty simple – 3 heavy as hell riffs, mouth wrecking drums, and lots of pleasure in doing it. Mynarr had to get used to playing his axe again, after a 2 years break. Grzes on the other side, already had a band called Hamartia, but they were having some problems with rehearsal regularity. At the start Mynarr didn’t even have his own guitar amp, but thanks to friends from Hamartia he could use theirs. And so it began. After composing three songs, the guys invited their good old friend Maga to carry the burden of a vocalist in their project. After short time their music started evolving into something more melodic with the same amount of “in your face” metal sound. By January the trio had over 10 songs, but still no bass player. Maga knew that his fellow student Raku played in a rock-band once, so he asked him to come to a rehearsal. Raku’s first impression was that the music is too heavy for him, so the guys asked him to play only a few concerts with them, so they would have time to find someone else. Another problem was that Raku was living over 40 km from the rest of the band. Then it was time to pick a name for the band. Grzes wanted Noise sth, and Maciek wanted Dime Division, so they made a compromise and agreed on Noise Division. The band has played some small local gigs at first, but then came the first big one. It was in Pszczyna with HUGEccm and Frontside. It worked like an anabolic for their creativity! They started working on new songs, and making some changes to the old ones. The best part of it was that Raku has finally committed him self to what they were doing, and came up with totally new ideas. At last they had become a full band, in which everyone takes part in composing. After a few smaller shows, in December 2007 came the “Kapeliada: Battle of bands” in Krakow. Noise Division won it! In January ND will be recording their first demo in Katowice (Silesia, Poland), and after that who knows what will happen…
