About Me
Alter Bridge is my favorite band in the whole world...my other favorite band is 3lb Universe from Pittsburgh PA. Both bands have two excellent cds that I love! My name is Valerie. I am a bass player. I completely LOVE music. I've played in bands since high school. First I was a singer, then a keyboardist, then a bass player. I have played in mostly original bands, but did play in some cover bands and with the Clipbandits. See my music page for links to bands I've played in. It's on the bottom right of my friends list... I am a mother of 3 awesome kids (17g-15b-12g), a yellow lab and 2 cats.... We live in one of the most beautiful places in Florida...we can walk to the bay, the beach is a 5 minute drive and there is a historic street with shops and restaurants just 1 street away. It is so laid back here...and the sunsets are to die for. I spend my spare time going to the beach and exercising with my best friend who lives a mile away from me. I also love to make videos for Youtube. I listen to ALTER BRIDGE every day! I am growing a vegetable garden. Myspace really changed my life. I put up a video of myself playing bass when Youtube first came out. I put it on myspace and got invited to join the Johnny Rodes Outlaw Band in Nashville Tennessee. I got to record with some great people at EMI studios with the legendary songwriter, Charlie Craig. I moved to California where I played in the Rose Rossi band in Hollywood. During while I was in that band- I got asked to make a video for the Clipbandits to enter into the Youtube Underground Contest. We ended up with over 700,000 views the first week (the vid is now at over 2 million views)- and we got invited to play on the Tyra Banks Show for the first time. Good Morning America did a small clip on us, and we did an interview with ABC News World Webcast (The videos are on my Youtube pag). We also got honorable mention in the Underground Contest. He is my biggest inspiration and the memory I have of his energy and playing always stays with me. He later went on to play with Yngwie Malmsteen and Joey Tafolla. He passed away at an early age with cancer. :( RIP Wally.... Cancer could be a thing of the past if people would take the time to learn the truth. Learn about the macrobiotic diet.
