| The band formed in January, 2004. from long time friends and musicans of Kobánya Music Studio and Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, Budapest. The members of the band play in many well known and appreciated groups in Hungary and took part in the making of several albums, as songwriter, studiomusican or orchestrator besides Special Providence. Having an approach, by putting music as a priority over virtosistic individualisim, allows the Band to represent fusion jazz in a new light. The group is very
appreciated in and around Hungary with their virtoso, yet easily digestable style. Having released their first album in 2007 titled „Space Café“ and then
being invited to go on tour with the well established Jeff Andrews Trio. Having a huge success. They are undoubtable a band highly recommended, with their huge dynamic stagepresonce and aura for any listerner to digest.

His parents are both classical musicans, and for this, music determined his childhood. At 4 years age he started to "hit the beats" with toys and so and decided to play the drums when he grows up. From 1988 he studied at the Aelia Sabina Music School (Budapest) as the student of Tibor Kovács and Oszkár Balázs until 1996. From autumn 1996 he learned to improvise and "think as a drummer" from Iván Nesztor. This was the era when he met jazz music. In 2001 he was admitted to the Kobánya Music Studio where he’s a senior this year. He thinks very thankfully of this institution, because of all his teachers (János Sramkó,János Solti, Gyula Babos, János Rudolf Tóth) and all the subjects he learned.He plays in different bands since 1996. In spring 2003, with former schoolmate and friend, Zoltán Cséry, they form Special Providence. With this jazz-fusion band they only play self-written songs. Music is his life, and desires to serve it on the highest level wherever in the world. Musical diversity and individuality in music are the two keystones in his music. Zoltán Cséry Born: 18.03.1983. in Budapest. He was 4 years old when first started to play he piano. He was 6 years old when he started learning to play the keyboard in Balatonfured. He learned 4 years here and 2 more in Balatonalmadi as the student of Jozsef Lovas. Then he was admitted to the Richter János Music School in Gyor, where his main subject was music writing. He’s still thankful to his teacher, Attila Remenyi. After the graduation he went on learning the piano in the Kobanya Music Strudio, where he first met with not-classical musics, which is his favourite since then. With Adam Marko they formed Special Providence here in this school. Meanwhile the years spent in Kobanya he took part in several well known bands: Kimnowak, Ganxsta Zolee & a Kartel. He’s success is to create his own music, as can be heard in Special Providence. He’s very grateful to his teachers: Janos Fogarasi, Jeno Esze, Gyula Babos, Janos Rudolf Toth, Akos Gyorgy and Egon Poka. István Bata Born: 1979 in Torokkanizsa (Yugoslavia). He started playing the bass as a self-taught musican. When 20, in Szeged for a year he learns at the Hammido Elementary Music School as the student of Janos Magyar. From 2000 he studies at the Kobanya Music Studio’s bassguitar faculty. He’s taught by Otto Ullmann, Bela Lattmann and Gyula Babos. In 2004 he was admitted to the jazz faculty of Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music, where he’s the student of Bela Lattmann. Plays in several bands: Barabás Lorinc Eklektric, Kata Soul, Trio Forte and many other different session-playings, but Special Providence is the place for his self-expression. Márton Kertész Born in Budapest in 1982. He started playing the guitar at the age of 12 and his first teacher was Mari Nyeso. He had his first jazz lessons when he was 18 from teachers Tibor Eichinger, Gyula Tóth, then Gábor Juhász. In 2003 he was admitted to the College of Music of Kobánya, were he was a pupil of Ferenc Tornóczky for two years. Now he is attending the Liszt Ferenc Academy of Music as a student of Gyula Babos and Sándor Horányi, among others. Create your own visitor map!
