Anatolian Wisdom Biography AW was founded by Hanephi in Vancouver , BC Canada in late 2002. Iconoclast joined the band as the bass guitarist subsequently. In the following days, Magnus, the former drummer of another Vancouver based BM band Inhuman, in which Hanephi had played as the second guitarist for a short period, took his sinful place in AW. After a volatile search for a vocalist, the band decided on Sanguis Morbis. Thus, the band formed its initial nucleus line up. Two months before the first show and the recording of the first CD, Iconoclast quit the band and left his place to Kaos Occultus. Following several concerts with other local bands including Infernal Majesty, the trash-death metal legend of Canada, the band started to record Towards the Darkness of Anatolia. Mixing and mastering process delayed the release of the album, which was recorded between November and December 2004. It was launched in the middle of 2005. Subsequent to a few shows to make the CD public, the band had withdrawn into solitude for three or four months to create new songs and to work up a new recording. Besides, Caligulus Supremus was involved to the band as the second guitarist in order to reflect two guitar sounds, which already existed in the CD, to the live shows. The band returns to the stage at the Walpurgisnacht Fest on May 27 and the new CD Where the Iblis Dwells will be recorded in the forthcoming months. As to the bands philosophy, Anatolian Wisdom is the portent of the rebellion rising from the darkest nights with the forbidden knowledge of the demonic virtue.
