Aie ça gicle – Lofi-Noise meets Pop The boys from Aie ça gicle about Lead-Singer and Guitarist Oliver Falk are doing ructions and are about to pop the cannon! They’ve just left the studio, where they’ve recorded their Debut-CD. Every single song on the Aie ça gicle-EP has as well a reclining character of catchy tune as also a tremendous asskicking Lofi and Noise component. The boys strongly remind of New Yorker avant-garde bands like Sonic Youth or Velvet Underground. Furthermore they are able to recite the 90’s-Indie-Rock tradition on one’s head: Pavement, Archers of Loaf, Sebadoh – just the good moments, and that in a multipack. The Swiss Press has already jumped on the Aie ça gicle wave: 78’s.ch, 23.04.08: „Aie ça gicle: Biggest Swiss-Rock Hope and “hot Indie-Shit” at the same time, Navel have the Manager, Aie ça gicle would have the Songs thereto. No thick lip and a limited electicism practicing , which not primarily reminds of bygone heroes unlike Navel is doing, but also sounds discrete enough. If Aie ça gicle would come from England or the USA, Matador or Domino Records, the two arguably most renowned Indie-Labels in that domain, would have contracted them long ago Basler Zeitung, 24.04.08: „The Aie ça gicle Debut EP comes along self-contained. Inspired by Sonic Youth and Tocotronic, the five with guitar loaded songs convince thru the connection of a oponionated harmony with successful melodies. Frontman Oliver Falk manages at the same time the vocal tightrope walk between an apathetic person and a choleric person, without sounding affected 20 Minuten, 25.04.08: „Sonic Youth, Velvet Underground, Pavement – the musical point of reference of Aie ca gicle from Basel are multifarious.
