| Der Sound der Voodoo Phantoms setzt sich zum einen zusammen aus dem Slap des Doublebass von Timm the Swampthing. Die Saiten, dessen Klang an zart brechende Knochen erinnert, entstand aus Darm von Opferbeständen, die Timm aus den Sümpfen von Louisiana mitgebracht hat. Hierzu stampft der rompin' voodoo stompin' Beat des Dead Man, der direkt aus dem Urwald von Scull Island zu uns stieß. Auf diesem dicht geflochtenem Teppich legen sich die screams und die schmutzig, miese oder auch surfige Gitarre des Mr. Burnside hinzu, um den Garage Rockabilly Psychosis herauf zu beschwören. Fühlen Sie sich in den Schritt getreten! ............................................................ ............................................................ ....The sound of the Voodoo Phantoms is made up of the stand-up slap bass of the Swampthing, whose strings, sounding like the gentle snapping of bones, are made of the gut of victim sources, that Timm brought from the swamps of Louisiana. Added to this is the rompin' voodoo stompin' beat of the Dead Man, who joined us right out of the woods of Scull Island. Mr. Burnside lays his screams and his mean, dirty and also surfy guitar over it to raise up the garage rockabilly psychosis. Feel free to feel kicked in the groin! | |
