Urban Trapeze is a Progressive Rock group recently formed by Txema Seglers (keyboard and vocals), Jan Satorras (guitar), August Corominas (percussion), Pablo Selnik (flute), and Lluis Gener (bass).

Urban Trapeze represents a style of music influenced by groups from the late 60's and early 70's, like King Crimson, Premiata Forneria Marconi, Yes, Emerson, Lake & Palmer, Genesis, Frank Zappa, Soft Machine... but the difference is that the tendencies these groups have achieved are today constantly evolving and innovating, showing us a fresh and avant-guarde style of music. Urban Trapeze has played concerts throughout Catalonia, presenting an original set of more than two hours of intense [atmosfera] that range from melodic and largely spontaneous to moments of pure intensity.

The initiative for the band arose from a project started by the band's founder Daniel Seglers in 2001, which featured the participation of musicians like Joan Martín, the flutist from Narsilion (Dark Wind) or Jordi Prats, the guitarist from Dracma, among others. In mid 2004 the project collapsed, leaving only Daniel Seglers and Juan Camilo Anzola. However, at the end of that year, thanks to a series of rapid coincidences, the first formation of Urban Trapeze was born with the uniting of Jan Satorras, then Daniel Fernández, and soon after Marc Viaplana. From the end of 2004 until 2007 the band was at once mutually understing, compact, and defined, thus creating a solid group in which each member contributed their talent and personality.

Between the winter of 2006 and the spring of 2007, Juan Camilo, Marc Viaplana, and Daniel Fernández left the group for logistical reasons and were substituted by August Corominas, Pablo Selnik, and temporarily Roberto Cantoni, the ex-bassist of the Italian group Gecko's Tear, on bass, theremin, and vocals, who was subsequently replaced by Lluis Gener at the end of 2007 and Txema Seglers substitute his brother Daniel Seglers on the Keyboards because of health problems and to form the latest group.
