| Lakeus (aka Lazy Angel) has been making music since the end of the 90s. Armed with a simple tracker, a computer and many weird ideas, his first creations could be described as some form of trance music. Eventually making music evolved from a hobby to something much more. Today his music is a rich mixture of various acoustic and electronic elements with influences ranging from traditional folk music to drum n'bass. Living in the northern part of the world [720 km south from the arctic circle] with its change of seasons [19 hrs of daylight during the summer compared to 6 hrs during the winter] has also strongly influenced his music. Apart from his solo material he has composed music for various commercials and documentaries.
Lakeus is currently working on his first, yet untitled, solo album. The album will have vocal-based tracks and also instrumentals. Various vocalists are going to sing on the album. The album will be released during 2008. Lakeus has also several other musical projects such as Tuokio and GoSlow which show another musical side of him. They are both on the "top friends"-list so you can go to listen to them if you are interested. Here are some projects Lakeus has worked on: Artek Oy (An international Finnish furniture and design company) - Lakeus composed the music for the company's promotional video. Olispa jo talvi (documentary directed by Maria Stenros, it was shown on TV2, a national Finnish TV channel on 23.11.2006) - The track "Kaamos" by Lakeus was featured in the documentary. European Parliament (educational dvd) - Lakeus composed music for the dvd which came out October 2007. Couple of thousand copies are already in educational use all around Finland. At the moment Lakeus is busy adding final touches to the music he composed for a Finnish short film (30min) called "Totuus vai tehtävä" The film is coming out autumn 2008.
