cute myspace layout Born in Novara (Italy) in the middle of the 80's, Richard Passarella got in touch with electronic and dance music in the 90's. In 2003 he received as a gift, 2 decks, a mixer and a pack of 90's dance records, and after hours, days and months passed practicing, he started performing in local clubs such as Ryan's Club, Bulé Disco, Flight Café, Rossini Disco Club, Battisti Café, 20 Regioni and Bora Bora. After becoming official DJ of Love Bus Game in 2004, on March 2005 he won the contest “Odissea dei DJ”, organised by B.M. Club in his home city of Novara. He has also performed with dance artists such as SoundLovers and Maverick and in VIP parties with guests like Nina Moric and Ana Laura Ribas. From 2004 to 2009, Richard brought his events around Italy, from Milan to Rovigo, from Genoa to Turin, in clubs like Bastioni di Porta Venezia and MyBali (MI), Banananas and Piscina dei Castelli (GE), Target (CN), Albarella (RO), Il Profumo and Rock City (TO), Da.Bo. (VA). In 2006 he has been selected by Radio Azzurra FM as official DJ of the one-night "Master of sound", which took place at Discoteca Guaranà (VC), in national radio live streaming. In 2006 he also started to collaborate with Cool-Made Agency (www.cool-made.com) by producing soundtracks for single performers and group performances of the agency. The shows “Butterfly”, “Crazy hospital” and “Japan show”, in these years have been performed in many national and international clubs and in events such as Gay Pride at Porto Antico (GE), Koku (OT), Luna Rossa and Master of Ceremony (AL), Metropolitan, Il Camillo, Golf Club and Le Rotonde (PV), Kelly Green (VB). In July 2007 Richard has been selected by Nokia telephone brand as guest DJ of the contest Nokia Trends Lab, which took place at the club "Piscina dei Castelli" in Sestri Levante (GE). On December 2007, he won the contest “DJs Fight”, which took place at the club “Celebrità”, always in Novara, by playing only his tunes. On September 2008, Richard got a great satisfaction when the track "Thanks", included in the compilation "Oryx Club Bits Vol. 6" by Oryx Music, peaked the n. 74 in Beatport Techno Chart. In October 2008, Amnesia Club in Lausanne (Switzerland) hosted the show "Demon Warriors", always by Cool-Made Agency, where the soundtrack, once again, was made by Richard. In 2009 he started to collaborate with "Charm Tea Dance" Staff, by gaining the residency at staff's parties. He also started to realize his idea of a "dj+musicians" performance, by playing side-to-side with the guitarist Christian Castelletti at the club "Statale 11", in Novara. As the show was appreciated by the whole club, the following performances have been more entertaining with the insert of the pianist Divintek. The show has been perfomed at Ryan’s Club and Villa Certosa c/o Tenuta Cavallotta in Novara. In January 2009, the best "remix-satisfaction" has come: his remix of "The bad bankers - We fucked you up" (a remake of the 2000 hit "Lady" by Modjo) has peaked n. 3 in DJDownload Top 100 sales chart with a permanency of 6 weeks in the Top 10. In June 2009, the first television broadcast has come: Maverick Multimedia (www.maverickmultimedia.it) selected him as official DJ for the opening party of "Five Music Café", in Chiari (BS), which has been broadcasted on SKY TV Channel 846 "People TV". In August 2009, after gaining the residency in Villa Certosa Events, the “E-bump remix” of the tune “Richard Passarella vs. Divintek – I won’t miss u” (published by Helios Recordings) has reached the no. 1 position in “Paranoia Dance Chart” on Hard Rock FM INDONESIA, the most important dance chart in Indonesia, and it has been supported from all the top indonesian djs. After a successful summer season 2009, he gained the weekly residency at Ryans Club in Novara for the winter season 2009-2010 and he has been signed for the itinerant event “Villa Certosa on tour”. He also produced the anthem of the event Villa Certosa: "Richard Passarella feat. Andrea Effe - Villa Certosa". About DJing he thinks only: “We are all able to play and mix records…but, for me, a performer must give away emotions and feelings with his own work and passion. For this reason I’m realizing and already perfoming a one-night with musicians, dancers, and a Richard-based tracklist”.
