| The Dixie Fried car show is held Saturday and Sunday on Labor Day weekend (September) in Atlanta, GA. Held in conjunction with Drive-Invasion. On Saturday driven pre-'65 cars, hot rods, kustoms, and bikes welcome. On Sunday pre-'74 welcome. Awards and prizes in six categories. This will be the 9th year of the first and one of the largest traditional car shows on the East Coast put on by the ATLANTA ROAD KINGS CC. Drive Invasion is held Saturday and Sunday. | Dixie Fried is the first Traditional car show devoted to driven pre-64 cars in the south. It all started when a few friends drove their cars to the drive-in one night. They talked about the current state of affairs in Atlanta and how cool it would be to have a show that catered to their taste in cars. So Josh Mills, Chris Terenzi and Mark Griffiths (The Atlanta Road Kings circa 1999) had a car show at the drive-in in 1999. By 2000 that impromptu show had turned into Dixie Fried. Top that off with our often imitated hand made awards and one-two punch of bands and b movies of Drive-Invasion and a winner was born. CHECK OUT THE PICS AND TAKE A LOOK AT PREVIOUS SHOWS!!! |
