Myspace Layouts at Pimp-My-Profile.com / Green - Image Hosting Chuckie Ray’s music career begin when he received a violin at the age of 5 and because he could hardly get anything out of it but a squawk, he made the decision to trade it for his first bike. His grandfather then bought a mandolin for Chuckie Ray cause his fingers were not quite long enough for the guitar. He received his first guitar when he was about 8 years old. By then Chuckie Ray had learned several songs that he could sing while playing the mandolin. At the age of 9, Chuckie Ray was fortunate enough to share the stage in Andalusia Alabama with Dottie Rambo and was hooked!! The desire to perform was born and one would consider Chuckie Ray as self taught. Although it has been a long and winding road with many detours along the way, he never lost that desire. In the sixties Chuckie Ray performed with several different groups and shared the stage with the likes of Bobbie Moore, Bobbie Jackson, Emanuel Huffman, King Tutt and others. In the 70’s Chuckie Ray performed with Sweetwater, The Cords, the Kingman and also as a solo act. In 1978 Chuckie Ray left the music industry and did not perform again until he did a concert in 2001 with Alex and Sergey in Yoskar Ola Russia. After returning to the states, Chuckie Ray relocated to Central Florida and has been writing, recording and working as an entertainer, with-in the Active adult Senior communities and also doing volunteer performances for the veterans. Wherever Chuckie Ray gets the opportunity to perform, he gets invited back, so he must doing something right. Chuckie did a very successful tour in Brazil from August until mid November of 2006 and two of the songs from his current CD is getting air time there. Chuckie Rays show consists of a variety of music (i.e.) country, originals, blues, classic rock, pop, and southern gospel. He uses pre-recorded tracks, keyboards, guitar and also adds musicians from time to time, depending on the request and the budget of the clients. Chuckie Ray carries his own state of the art sound, and lighting equipment, and a portable 8’x16’ stage for outdoor performance is available upon request.
