'Trollnacht' and marks the beginning of a new chapter for this mysterious group - in terms of the subject matter, but mainly music-wise. A concentration of intense, dramatic atmosphere, magical-moody Black Metal, complemented by two apparently contrasting voices and dramatic keyboards. 'Trollnacht' is part of a cycle called "Trollzauber". German: Bis ins Mark dringen diese Lieder, meistens ungestüm, manchmal auch lauernd, doch immer kraftvoll und musikalisch ebenso eindringlich wie kompetent in Szene gesetzt. Mit den gehimnisumwitterten NACHTMAHR dienen wir Ihnen alte Haudegen zum Geleit für die Erkundung jener Nachtseite an, welche bereits so ahnungsvolle Naturen wie Lord Byron und Georg Trakl dazu inspirierte, Begegnungen mit Tod und Teufel dichterisch in Silben zu kleiden. Kein Bastard im Black Metal-Milieu vermochte Eichendorffs Feststellung "...und alles hat den Tod" so unumwunden bitter auf den Punkt zu bringen wie NACHTMAHR. Doch hören Sie selbst...! Nach einem Split-Album mit SUN OF THE SLEEPLESS (2004) veröffentlichten NACHTMAHR 2005 ein neues Lied namens "Trollzauber" auf einer limitierten Split-Mini CD mit HELRUNAR. Dieses Stück ist der Beginn eines neuen Kapitels Nachtmahr, thematisch sowie vor allem musikalisch. Die neuen Stücke versuchen intensiv dramatische Atmosphäre zu bündeln. Es ist der grundsätzlich märchenhaft-atmosphärischer Black-Metal auf einer anderen Stufe. |
