| The Ghost Dance Party was founded in 2003 and is based on the idea of bringing DeathRock/Post-Punk and Gothic Rock bands to southern Germany. Throughout the years we organised concerts of bands like Cadra Ash, Zadera, Joy Disaster, Dorcel, die Perlen et cetera. We also had a few stage premiers of bands who had their first gig in Germany like Sleeping Children, Katzenjammer Kabarett, Tchiki Boum and Bats in the Belfry.
Though our main focus is on concerts, we also organise "normal" parties like the traditional "Ghost Dance Summerparty" (Bauhaus, BBQ and Bratwürst) or our one-shot "Winterparty" with cookies, gingerbread and mulled wine. Our venue called "Omega" is located in the heart of Erlangen and offers cheap drinks together with a very friendly and familiar atmosphere. Admission is normaly 2,50€ for the party and 5€ for concerts The parties and concerts are all on an irregular basis. Next Ghost Dance: 24.5.2008 with Los Carniceros del Norte Wir sind ganz besonders froh dieses Jahr (mit der üblichen Verspätung...) ein ganz besonderes Schmankerl zu präsentieren. Da wir alle auf dem Drop Dead Festival sehr begeistert von Los Carniceros del Norte waren, haben wir beschlossen die Jungs kurzerhand rüberzuholen. Diejenigen die in Prag zugegen waren, werden ihren Auftritt noch in guter Erinnerung haben. Allen anderen sei gesagt, dass es sich dabei ganz grob um eine Art Mischung aus Paralisis Permanente und den Misfits handelt. Sollte alles glatt laufen, wird das auch ihr allererstes Deutschlandkonzert sein! Nach dem Konzert gibt es dann wie gewohnt den üblichen Abzappel-Mix aus Deathrock, New Wave, Post-Punk, Minimal und allerlei Artverwandtem mit Jan & Mo. Da es ja noch etwas Zeit bis Mai ist, werden wir versuchen evtl. noch 1,2 Specials (give-aways, Drop Dead Karten etc.) auf die Beine zu stellen. Der Preis liegt bei 5€ (dieses Mal etwas teurer für "nur" eine Band, aber die Jungs kommen ja auch von weit her) Achtung! Für alle Weitgereisten: Setzt euch bitte mit uns in Kontakt damit wir versuchen können euch irgendwo unterzubringen und ihr euch somit das Geld für Hotel etc. spart! und als kleinen Vorgeschmack setzen wir doch fix ein Video des Prag Auftritts hier rein: Auch nicht vergessen: 16.8. = Sommerparty und 21.11. = Konzert einer noch nicht näher bekannten Band |
