| Over the first year of their existence, The Seatbelt Tragedy, forged ahead from previous Portland projects to carve out a genre for themselves. Playing by only their own rules (and some musical theory rules) they've compiled a playlist that is uniquely their own, and continue to experiment with fresh ideas and push their musical abilities. Only a month after tracking and self-releasing a 5 song EP representing their sound, the group embarked on a 2 week tour with local Portland band Upon Beauty Rests(Jibe Records). The Seatbelt Tragedy plans to continue to compose new material and play local shows as they prepare to embark on their 2nd tour in mid June 08.Their EP Titled "Under Alarm" is available on And also at AND Add our banner to your page! .. |
